Conversation between Mr. Dubois and Mr. Moreau.

M. Dubois: | Comment est-elle? | How is it? |
M. Moreau: | Elle est meilleure que l'autre. Malgré la pluie, elle n'était pas glissante du tout. | It's better than the other. In spite of the rain, it wasn't slippery at all. |
M. Dubois: | Elle doit être aussi plus jolie que l'ancienne. | It must also be prettier than the old one. |
M. Moreau: | Bien plus, parce qu'elle traverse la forêt. | Much prettier, since it goes through the forest. |

M. Dubois: | Allez-vous à la campagne ou au bord de la mer cet été? | Are you going to the country or to the seashore this summer? |
M. Moreau: | Je ne sais pas encore, mais je voudrais du soleil. | I don’t know yet, but I'd like some sun. |
M. Dubois: | Allez dans le Midi. Il y fait chaud et sec. | Go to the south of France. It’s warm and dry there. |
M. Moreau: | Oui, mais ma femme n'aime pas la chaleur. | Yes, but my wife doesn't like the heat. |
M. Dubois: | Alors, choisissez l'Atlantique. Il y fait beau et frais. | Then choose the Atlantic coast. It's clear and cool there. |

M. Moreau: | Et Henri, où va-t-il cette année? | And where is Henry going this year? |
M. Dubois: | Il a une villa en Normandie pour la saison. | He has a villa in Normandy for the season. |
M. Moreau: | Il fait toujours mauvais temps dans cette région. Il y pleut très souvent et il y a trop de vent. | It's always bad weather in that region. It rains a lot there and there's too much wind. |
M. Dubois: | Non, pas toujours. Vous exagérez. | No, not always. You're exaggerating. |
M. Moreau: | Peut-être. En tout cas les automnes y sont très humides. | Maybe. In any case the autumns there are very damp. |
M. Dubois: | Et ici, quel temps fait-il en hiver? | And here, how is the weather in winter? |
M. Moreau: | Il gèle et il neige en général pendant deux mois. Mais cette année il a fait moins froid que l'année dernière. | It freezes and it snows generally for two months. But this year it hasn't been as cold as last year. |
