Part two - Position
In English, adjectives precede
the nouns they qualify. In
French, some adjectives:
a. follow the noun
(post-nominal)
In French, most adjectives follow the noun. Among those are adjectives
indicating color, shape, religion, nationality and past participles
used as adjectives.
Examples:
une valise verte
un
employé français
un paquet recommandé
b. precede the noun
(pre-nominal)

adjectives can be found in lesson 7.

their meaning
is exactly the same in both positions.

1. Ils ont une auto française.
