Lesson 7 - Grammar 2 - Object pronouns
In French, object pronouns precede the verb in affirmative, negative or interrogative sentences.
| Examples: |
|---|
| Elle me convient tout à fait. |
| Combien vous dois-je? |
| Je la prends. |
| Pourquoi ne l'envoyez-vous pas de chez vous? |
We will see later, when we study the imperative form, that object pronouns sometimes follow the verb.
In this lesson, we will study the following pronouns.:
| French / Français | English / Anglais |
|---|---|
| me, m’ | me, to me |
| nous | us, to us |
| vous | you, to you |
| le, l' | him, it |
| la, l' | her, it |
| les | them |
(French equivalent for ‘to him', 'to her', 'to them' will be studied in lesson 8, grammar 2.)
