Lesson 8 - Grammar 3 - Part two: Object pronoun ‘y’
The object pronoun y is invariable. It precedes the verb, except in the imperative affirmative.
y replaces

Notice that in lesson 6, y could be translated by ‘of or about it’ or ‘of or about them’, but should only refer to an animal or an inanimate object:
